The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan met with the heads of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.

Today, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with Tatsuya Watanabe, Senior Advisor on Strategic Issues of the Japanese company "Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd." and Executive Director of this company Kenji Sanada.

Expressing sincere gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the businessmen took the opportunity to wish the Hero Arkadag strong health, longevity and great success in his noble activities for the prosperity of Turkmenistan and well-being of the people of the country.

Welcoming the guests and thanking them for their kind words, Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the meetings to be held during the current visit would contribute to further strengthening of relations between the two states, especially trade and economic ties, wishing success to the negotiations.

As noted, Japan is a long-term strategic partner of Turkmenistan in the Asia-Pacific region. Our countries actively cooperate not only at the bilateral level, but also within the framework of authoritative international organisations, primarily the UN.

Focusing attention on trade and economic interaction, Hero Arkadag stated that the Turkmen-Japanese business relations have reached a qualitatively new level and are successfully developing in various spheres.

It was emphasised that a fruitful partnership has been established with Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. for many years and several major projects have been implemented. Examples of this are the plant for production of petrol from natural gas in Ovadandepe, urea plant in Mary province, Kelati cement plant.

Along with the operation at full capacity of the commissioned facilities and taking into account Turkmenistan's big plans for natural gas production and processing, new opportunities for the development of bilateral cooperation appear.

As it was noted, the use of advanced practices and high technologies, as well as compliance with quality standards and environmental requirements are important conditions for the implementation of projects in our country.

Having expressed their readiness to consider proposals from Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. on the further development of the bilateral partnership, Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence in the continuation of fruitful interaction.

The businessmen, in turn, emphasized the desire of the company they represented for long-term cooperation with our country, noting that Japanese business circles show great interest in the promising Turkmen market, where favorable conditions have been created for business promotion, and are ready to provide experience and the latest technological developments.

At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov thanked the businessmen for their contribution to the development of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation.
