In the Palace complex "Oguzhan", upon completion of negotiations of Presidents Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Vladimir Putin with participation of members of official delegations of two countries a solemn ceremony of awarding of the head of Turkmenistan with a high state award of the Russian Federation – Order of Alexander Nevsky took place.

Having expressed his sincere gratitude to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for his honour, the Turkmen leader noticed that he accepts this honourable award as a sign of respect for all Turkmen people, a symbol of steady growth and all-round strengthening of traditionally friendly Turkmen-Russian relations. We intend to do henceforth all necessary for all-round strengthening of interstate dialogue and are ready to intensify all available solid potential of Turkmen-Russian partnership, the head of the state told.

Having underlined that today Russia is a strategic partner of Turkmenistan, cooperation of two countries dynamically develops in all directions, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed belief that the existing high level of trust and mutual understanding between our people will serve to form a strong basis for the further development of Turkmen-Russian partnership.

The Turkmen leader awarded the President of Russia the Order «For the contribution to development of cooperation»

On completion of the ceremony of awarding of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Turkmen leader declared awarding of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin one of the higher state awards of our country – Order «Hyzmatdaşlygy ösdürmäge goşandy üçin» that means «For the contribution to development of cooperation».

As the Turkmen leader underlined, the given decision is a recognition of merits of the President of the Russian Federation in development and strengthening of the Turkmen-Russian relations, a powerful contribution to maintenance of peace and expansion of international cooperation.

In Turkmenistan, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov told, they know and deeply respect Vladimir Vladimirovich as a wise and far-sighted statesman. His fruitful activity at the higher state post, rich political experience and high professionalism has got not only a national support in Russia, but also a deserved authority and respect all over the world. Adherence to principles, high responsibility, state wisdom - these qualities allow the President of the Russian Federation to be at the head of the country, to lead the people of Russia to new successes, to keep and strengthen stability and unity of the state confidently.

Today Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation successfully co-operate practically in all areas of bilateral interaction, including in political, trade and economic and humanitarian spheres, President Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov told. As the head of the state marked, Turkmenistan and Russia are connected by the close relations based on mutual respect, equality and common aspiration to progress and development.

Having handed the award to his counterpart, the President of Turkmenistan wished him sound health and successes in his responsible state activity and also well-being, peace and prosperity to the friendly people of Russia.
