Role of mass media in prevention of COVID-19 in agenda of online meeting

Efficient methods of spreading information during COVID-19 pandemic were the main subject of the briefing held in video conference format with participation of personnel of national mass media and Representative Office of UNICEF in our country.

Making a speech at the briefing, Head of Representative Office of the UN Children Fund in our country Christine Weigand has focused on important role of mass media in prevention of COVID-19 and health protection, especially health protection of children.

It was mentioned that development and application of efficient methods of presentation of information related to countermeasures against the spread of coronavirus are current directions of cooperation between Turkmenistan and UNICEF these days. In this context, high appraisal of work held in this sphere has been given.

Presentations “Key Messages in information about risks: Opening of schools and message to parents” and “Regional expertise and samples of advanced practice” have been given at the webinar.

Having mentioned the importance of latest technologies in life of modern society, he participants of video conference session have spoken for development of relative web resources and digital application for further promotions of bilateral projects.
