THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN RECEIVED A REPRESENTATIVE OF KAWASAKI HEAVY INDUSTRIES LTD.

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Tatsuya Watanabe, Senior Advisor for Strategic Affairs of the Japanese company Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., who arrived in our country to participate in the celebrations on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the sacred Independence of Turkmenistan.

Expressing deep gratitude for the invitation and high honour to share this bright joy together with the Turkmen people, the guest congratulated the head of state on the awarding of the title of Hero of Turkmenistan and the main holiday of the country, wishing peace, prosperity and success to all the Turkmen people on the chosen path of sovereign development.

After warmly welcoming the guest and thanking him for his good wishes, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the visit of the representative of the largest Japanese company would give a new impetus to the further development of interstate relations.

As it was noted, Turkmenistan is successfully implementing the tasks aimed at industrialisation and diversification of the national economy, production of high quality products competitive in the world market on a scientific basis. In this regard, great importance is attached to attracting the experience of developed countries and achievements of leading foreign companies, actively expanding international economic ties.

In recent years, mutually beneficial partnership with the largest Japanese companies of international repute, which have been successfully operating in the Turkmen market for many years, has received special development.

The fruitful partnership of "Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd." with the state concerns "Türkmenhimiýa" and "Türkmengaz" is a vivid example of this, having successfully carried out the construction of production complexes.

Within the framework of the meeting there was an interested exchange of views on the prospects of further cooperation taking into account the large-scale programmes implemented in our country aimed at modernisation and intensification of the national economy.

- We are ready to consider your proposals on the implementation of new projects in the development of the chemical and oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan, in particular, on increasing the production of phosphorus, ammonia, urea and petrol from natural gas," the head of state stressed.

The businessman, in turn, stressed the desire of the company he represented for long-term mutually beneficial cooperation with our country, noting that business circles of Japan are highly interested in the promising Turkmen market, where the most favourable conditions for business promotion have been created, and are ready to provide Turkmen partners with their experience and the latest technological developments.

At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Tatsuya Watanabe, Senior Advisor on Strategic Issues of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. expressed confidence in further successful continuation of the established productive cooperation and exchanged mutual wishes for good health, family prosperity and success in their work.
