A forum was held in Tokyo on “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust”

On 04 April 2025, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tokyo together with the Japan Friendship Exchange Council organised a cultural forum dedicated to “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust”.

During his speech, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A.Bayramov said that 2025 is an important year for Turkmenistan, where the country celebrates the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, as well as on the initiative of Turkmenistan 2025 was proclaimed “International Year of Peace and Trust”. It was pointed out that Turkmenistan will continue its policy of neutrality based on good neighbourliness, mutual respect, equality and mutually beneficial cooperation with the countries of the world.

Noted that today the relations between Turkmenistan and Japan are entering a new stage. The President of Turkmenistan His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attach great importance to further strengthening of relations between Turkmenistan and Japan in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The Ambassador expressed sincere gratitude to the Government of Japan for its valuable support and contribution to further strengthening of friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Japan.

The forum participants were also familiarised with the cultural traditions of Turkmenistan and provided with national treats of Turkmen cuisine.
