Ambassador of Turkmenistan took part in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A.Bayramov took part in the events held on August 6, 2025 in Hiroshima and on August 9, 2025 in Nagasaki dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of these Japanese cities.

The events were attended by Prime Minister Sh. Ishiba, members of the Cabinet of Ministers, the leadership and members of parliament, representatives of international organizations, as well as heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Japan.

During the commemorative events, attention was paid to the issues of renunciation of the use of nuclear weapons and the end of international conflicts.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki Cities Leadership made an appeal to the world leaders to create security structures based on trusting relationships built through dialogue.

Following the events in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, a peace declaration was adopted which, among other things, called on the Japanese government to sign and ratify the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and calls on world leaders to present a concrete Road map for the elimination of nuclear weapons at the 2026 Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) Review Conference.
