The Presentation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan “Tea: medicine and inspiration” translated into Japanese was held in Japan

On June 26, 2016, in celebration of the 25th Anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan, one of the most beautiful museums in Japan - MIHO, located in a picturesque area of ​​Shiga Prefecture, held a Presentation of the book of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan "Tea: medicine and inspiration" in Japanese.

This presentation was held as a part of the museum’s show of ethnographic exhibits of Turkmenistan, which was held in there from 20 to 27 June this year. During these days, visitors have had an opportunity to be acquainted with the unique tea culture of Turkmenistan through the exhibits, specially brought to Japan from museums of our country for this occasion.

Presentation was attended by numerous personalities of culture, science and art, representatives of the education system and the Japanese media, as well as ordinary visitors to the museum and book lovers. A special video film about Turkmenistan was also played.

In their speeches, G.Elyasov, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan, Mr. Hajime Inagaki, Curator of MIHO Museum, as well as M.Mamedov, Head of National Administration for Preservation, Study, and Protection of Cultural and Historical Monuments of Turkmenistan spoke about the successful development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and huge importance of introducing the millennial culture of Turkmenistan to the Japanese public. In this context, the book "Tea: medicine and inspiration", translated into Japanese and published in a high-quality hardcover is an invaluable contribution to the further cultural rapprochement of our peoples.

Mr. Inagaki also emphasized that based on Memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the MIHO Museum signed during the visit of Japanese Prime Minister to Turkmenistan in October 2015, there is a plan to initiate a close cooperation in the field of restoration of some historical and cultural monuments of Turkmenistan.

At the end of the Presentation, interested and grateful participants were presented with the copies of the book "Tea: medicine and inspiration."
