Implementation of TAPI and Trans Caspian Gas Line projects is discussed at the meeting with the EBRD
Fruitful cooperation under the development of banking sphere and private sector in Turkmenistan, which have received the development due to the initiatives of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was noted at the meeting with the delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development chaired by the EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia Bruno Balvanera in the Foreign Ministry.
Discussing the prospects of joint work of Turkmenistan and the European Bank for Construction and Development, the sides focused on the consolidation of regional partnership of Caspian states after signing of the Convention on Legal Status of Caspian Sea, which has opened new opportunities for intensification of the cooperation in different spheres.
Constructive exchange of the visions of future plans for the implementation of Turkmenistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan – India (TAPI) and Trans Caspian gas line projects, which are to improve global energy security, took place at the meeting.
Subjects related to the strategy of the EBRD for Turkmenistan in2019 – 2024 have also been discussed.
