IN JAPAN TOOK PLACE A SPECIAL EVENT DEDICATED TO ETHNOGRAPHY AND HISTORY OF TURKMENISTAN

On January 8, 2017 in one of the largest art museums of Japan «POLA», was held special event dedicated to ethnography and history of Turkmenistan. Said event was carried out within the framework of Exhibition of ethnographic and jewelry of Turkmenistan, which enjoys great popularity among the visitors and held here since September 2016 up until March 2017.

During the above-mentioned event Ms. Takako Murata - researcher in the field of jewelry and ethnographic art, Ms. Matsuri - designer and fashion celebrity, as well as representatives of the museum made presentations.

In their speeches, they elaborated about rich culture and history of the Turkmen people as well as impressive achievements of modern Turkmenistan. Particular attention was paid to the forthcoming V Asian indoors and martial arts Games to be held in September this year in Ashgabat.

The event also included the video demonstrations and slides about Turkmenistan, as well as a photo session of participants and numerous guests.

At the end of the event jointly organized by the “POLA” museum and the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan, a marvelous concert of Turkmen music performed by Japanese musicians, dressed in Turkmen national costumes has been arranged for participants and guests of the museum.
