Workign session: Diversification of trade and entrepreneurship

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held working session with participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch. Gylyjov who supervises trade complex as well as heads of the ministries and profile departments of this sector.

Issues related to realization of the concept of development of digital economy in 2020 – 2025 and fulfilment of assignments given by the Head of the State have been reviewed at the session.

The President noted that while being one of the most dynamically developing branches of national economy, trade sphere visually demonstrates positivity of reforms in national economy under conditions of its transfer to market relations. Development of trade section is an important indicators of social prosperity and success of the reforms.

The Head of the state continued that the list of competitive products is growing in the result of major works for production of import substitutive commodities, development of agricultural complex, processing production facilities as well as opening of new indusrial directions of Turkmen economy.

The growth of volumes of internal trade is a visual evidence of improvement of wealth and social and living conditions of the population, the Head of the State continued. At the same time, structure of import and export in foreign trade demonstrates positivity of development of multilateral interstate cooperation that strengthen business contacts of producers of the country.

During the session, the President gave floor to Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations O. Gurbannazarov who reported on measures for activation of the process of transit to digital system as well as on full provision of local market with food production.

These works are aimed at further improvement of activity of trade sphere, growth of foreign trade volumes, expansion of reliable beneficial relations with business partners, growth of production of import substitutive goods, enhancement of culture of service to the population.

In addition, relation with producers of vegetable and cucurbitaceous crops, livestock and other food production, which are rendered support in supply of raw materials, is supported for provision of local markets of the country with production of own make.

The Minister has also informed about activity of the structure under his supervision for successful fulfilment of objectives outlined in the Programme of social and economic development of the country in 2020 – 2025.

Having listened to the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on importance of objectives of the trade complex in the context of successful realization of reforms in the country.

At the same time, the Head of the State pointed out the necessity of effective use, modernization and increment of capacities of storage refrigerating facilities in the velayats and Ashgabat, which are designated for storage of food production.

After, the President gave floor to Minister of textile Industry R. Rejepov who reported on work for solution of objectives outlined in the Programme of social and economic development of the country and on fulfilment of previous tasks.

It was mentioned that measures are taken for expansion of production, improvement of its quality, increment of variety, sale of Turkmen textile in the country and abroad as well as for study and opening of new sale markets, development of foreign economic relations and marketing. All of these support the enhancement of demand on national textile production in the world.

At the same time, the Ministry of Textile Industry is engaged in development of complex of economic measures providing increment of interest of producers in making of competitive goods meeting international standards. Profile facilities work on implementation of the government policy in the sphere of digital technologies.

Having listened to the report, the Head of the State specified realization of investment projects as perspective directions of coming activity. It is necessary to pay attention to reconstruction of existing and construction of new high technology complexes in all velayats and increment of employment of the population, the Presidentsaid.

The importance of timely opening of textile complexes, which are under construction in Kaahka and Babadayhan etraps and, hence, increment of export potential of the branch have been highlighted.

Having highlighted the necessity of compliance of production with international standards and ecological safety, the Head of the State addressed the Minister of Textile Industry with specific instructions. The importance of implementation of digital technologies to the production and making of favourable conditions of work for specialists of the industry has also been noted.

Further, the President gave floor to the Chairman of the State Association Türkmenhaly O. Yshanguliyeva who reported on activity of her structure.

It was highlighted that objectives for improvement of production of handmade carpets and carpet production, expansion of sale sphere as well as popularization of handmade carpet making, which importance is opened in unbreakable tie with life of Turkmen nation, itsrich heritage, history and culture are successfully solved.

Summing up the report, the President requested to increase production of handmade carpets, activate work related to popularization of our national heritage in the world. For this, it is appropriate to use the services of Turkmenistan trade houses in foreign countries.

The Head of the State highlighted that taking into account local material resources and studying market situation, it is important to develop plans of production of handmade carpets and national crafts for the future.

After, the floor was given to Chairman of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs A. Dadayev who reported to President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov about solution of issues of supply of private facilities making food production with necessary material and production resources.

It was also informed about joint work carried out by relative ministries and profile departments on increment of production volumes of vegetable and cucurbitaceous, meat, dairy and other production.

It was highlighted that organizational works for providing of necessary support are carried out based on the monitoring of requirements of private facilities making food products and other socially important goods.

In addition, the control is implemented for quality and compliance with timeline of commissioning of facilities under construction. Summing up the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted important role of non-government sector in modernization of national economy, increment of volume and variety of competitive production, provision of food abundance and enhancement of export potential of the country.

This is small and medium entrepreneurship that gave strong impulse to development of national trade complex in the context of improvement of equipment and facility base and expansion of the structure of the branch, its export capabilities, growth of production volumes, opening of new work places, the President highlighted.

The Head of the State ordered to take all measures for quality and timely fulfilment of works at the facilities planned to be opened on occasion of the 25th anniversary of neutrality.

Further, Chairman of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange B. Chariyev reported on activity of his organization for making of optimum conditions for sale of goods and material resources, development of wholesale market of national production.

Relative regulated work is carried out for organization of exchange trades, introduction of efficient methods of pricing, definition of relativeness of cost of export and import agreements.

Having listened to the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on importance of improvement of activity of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange as the main authority regulating export and import operations in the country. exchange trades have to be held in strict compliance with set Regulations, the Head of the State said.

After, the President of the country gave floor to Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Ch. Gylyjov. The Vice-premier reported on work carried out by the structures under his supervision for strengthening and expansion of potential of national economy. It was noted that all efforts are taken for successful solution of objectives of the Programme of social and economic development of the country.

Summing up the report, the President of the country specified current directions of coming work to the participants of the session.

The Head of the State noted that export of excess of production made in the country, provision of coordination of work of markets, stable food provision of the population are among the main objectives of the trade system.

Having focused on introduction of digital system to this sphere, the President ordered to define and use new modern management methods, to improve activity in marketing and management.

The Head of the State has also given instructions to expand the variety of textile production and to increase its competiveness in international markets.

Having requested to hold the construction of carpet making facilities under control and modernize production structures, the President highlighted the necessity of protection and improvement of carpet making traditions.

Turkmen leader ordered to arrange online trade and to expand the system of delivery of orders, which would allow working according to time requirements.

Successful implementation of the Programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan provides the necessity of implementation of innovations, coordination of activity of all branches and regions, process of diversification, opening of import substitutive production and strengthening of export potential of the country, the Head of the State continued.

Small and medium entrepreneurship has a big role in this. Integrated government support given to private business support fundamental modernization of activity of business communities, Turkmen leader said.
