Project of transit to digital monitoring of transport to be implemented
Türkmenawtoulaglary Agency is planning to create informational base of local and transit vehicles, vehicles coming from foreign countries, which carry out transport services in Turkmenistan and on international routes. Vice-premier B. Ovezov informed the Head of the State at the session of the Government on work in this direction.
Tracking of their movement will be carried out using GPS control and relative software for analysis of time and space coordinates of the object. The project is planned to be implemented in phases.
At the first stage, digital tracking systems will be installed on taxis and passenger buses running in the capital and velayats, which will allow monitoring their location, speed and compliance with schedule, fuel consumption, time for maintenance and other.
At the second phase, cargo transport moving across the country will be provided with digital monitoring and Turkmen vehicles making international transportation – at the third phase, which will give opportunity to control their movement and making electronic permits for crossing borders. Electronic map and centralized informational base, which will include all information about arriving and transiting vehicles, will also be made.
Türkmentehnogurluşyk CJSV of Türkmenawtoulaglary will be engaged in this project until October 1, 2020.
In this regard, the President noted that connection to monitoring system of vehicles making passenger and cargo transportation around the country, transit of transport management system to modern digital technologies would open new page in development of Turkmenistan as big transport hub of the region and continent.
