SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ON HEALTHCARE COOPERATION OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF INDEPENDENT STATES TOOK PLACE
On June 30, 2020, the special 31st meeting of the Council on Healthcare Cooperation of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held through videoconferencing. At this session, the Turkmen delegation was represented by the key officials of the Ministry of Health Protection and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan.
A number of pressing issues encompassing various aspects of collaboration between the Commonwealth states were entered in the agenda of the meeting. The parties discussed the epidemiological situation related to the new type coronavirus infection in the CIS member-states, as well as the measures adopted on counteraction against the COVID-19, including the activities of the working bodies of the Council on Healthcare Cooperation of the CIS on countering the spread of new type infection.
The participants of the meeting specifically noted the importance and necessity of collaboration, coordination and informational exchange against the COVID-19 conditions, present in these difficult times for the world community.
The implementation of previously adopted resolutions, in particular the arrangement of documents’ drafts in the field of sanitary-epidemiological wellness of the population of the CIS member-states, prevention and response measures to the urgency situations of sanitary-epidemiological scope were analyzed. The speeches of delegations on the experience gained by certain CIS member-states on providing medical aid to the patients with coronavirus infection were heard.
