President of Turkmenistan receives Managing Director of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd.

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov has received Managing Director and President of Plant & Infrastructure of Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd., Tatsuya Watanabe. 

Appreciative of the personal audience, the guest congratulated the head of state on the 26th anniversary of our country’s independence. The businessman highlighted that he shares the great joy with the people of Turkmenistan, who are like the people of Japan deeply respect and preserve their national traditions and spiritual heritage of their ancestors. 

Speaking of the impressive achievements in Turkmenistan’s socio-economic development and its high prestige in the international arena, the guest stressed that the two countries’ business circles are seeking more active and closer cooperation, which received powerful impetus during a 2015 visit by the President of Turkmenistan to the Land of the Rising Sun. 

Grateful for the warm words, the nation’s leader noted that today Turkmenistan and Japan are strategic partners, and the advancement of bilateral trade-economic interaction with long-term prospects is one of the most important trends in our country’s foreign policy. This is largely determined by the long-standing traditions of friendship and businesslike interest, stimulated by enormous resource and economic potential, and the two countries’ complementary economies. 

During the meeting, the head of the Japanese corporation informed about the implementation progress of the big investment project – construction of a natural gas-to-gasoline plant in Akhal velayat. 

Concluding the meeting, the head of state and his guest exchanged warm wishes, having expressed strong confidence in the successful promotion of constructive cooperation in the future.
