PRESENTATION OF THE BOOK OF THE PRESIDENT IN ENGLISH AND RUSSIAN WAS HELD AT THE IMO OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF TURKMENISTAN

On March 14, 2022, the presentation of the book of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "The Bright Path to Prosperity" in English and Russian was held in the conference hall of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by rectors, faculty and students of the country's universities, heads and employees of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations in Turkmenistan, representatives of local media.

Opening the event, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov noted that a deep understanding of the modern history of our Motherland, the priorities of its further development were found in the richly illustrated book of the head of state.

The book outlines clear and principled approaches of our state on such vital issues of modern development as the preservation and strengthening of global peace, stability and security, provides assessments and prospects for regional development, presents specific proposals and initiatives to stimulate a broad and trusting interstate dialogue based on the UN Charter and internationally recognized  legal norms, the Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan added.

“The release of this collection in English and Russian is a timely and relevant event. I am convinced that the book will provide answers to many complex issues of modern international life, will help to better understand the deep motives that guide Turkmenistan in its activities on the world stage, the role, goals and objectives of our country in the global coordinate system. In this sense, the collection is of interest not only to professionals - politicians, diplomats, experts, journalists, but also to everyone who is interested in foreign policy,” the Minister said.

Also, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to Turkmenistan Vyacheslav Beskosty and Cultural Attaché of the Apostolic Nunciature of the Vatican Andrzej Madej spoke at the event.

In addition, the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs J.Gurbangeldiyev, the rector of the International University for the Humanities and Development E. Aydogdyev, the rector of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages ​​named after. D. Azadi M. Kuliyeva.

As noted during the speeches, this publication is a collection of speeches by the Leader of the Nation to the public, it summarizes various issues of the country's development, reflections on foreign policy, economics, culture, science and other areas. Also, this edition includes many proposals regarding the further development of Turkmenistan.

The participants of the presentation emphasized that the book of the President of Turkmenistan "The Bright Path to Prosperity" in English and Russian provides an opportunity for a wide range of readers to get acquainted with the important achievements of the Turkmen state in domestic and foreign policy.

At the end of the event, the presentation participants adopted an Address to the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
