THE VISIT OF THE PRESIDENT OF TURKMENISTAN TO THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA ENDED

On June 2, as part of his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov visited the city of Medina.

In the morning, the President of Turkmenistan left Mecca for Jeddah. From the International Airport named after King Abdulaziz, the airliner of the head of state departed for Medina, the second holy city for Muslims.

Less than an hour later, the airliner landed at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport. Faisal bin Salman Al Saud, Governor of the province of Medina, and other officials met President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the gangway of the plane.

Within the framework of a short conversation held here, the President of Turkmenistan and the Governor of the province of Medina highly appreciated the level achieved and the progressive nature of the development of interstate dialogue, traditionally built on an equal, mutually respectful basis.

From the airport, the presidential motorcade headed to the famous mosque of the Prophet Muhammad Al-Masjid an-Nabawi.

At the main entrance to the mosque, President of Turkmenistan was met with all due honors by the imam of the mosque. The head of the Turkmen state was introduced to the history of the spiritual temple and the legends associated with it.

As a sign of reverence for the Muslim shrine, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, together with members of the delegation accompanying him, performed namaz.

At the resting place of the Prophet Muhammad, prayers were offered for the Almighty to send eternal prosperity to our Motherland, peace and prosperity to the Turkmen people.

After visiting the holy places for every true Muslim, the motorcade of the President of Turkmenistan headed to the International Airport named after Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz in Medina.

Having expressed deep gratitude to the representatives of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the reception given to the Turkmen delegation in the sacred land - the Motherland of Islam,  President Serdar Berdimuhamedov departed for Turkmenistan.
