TURKMENISTAN-CZECH REPUBLIC - AREAS OF COOPERATION IN THE ECONOMIC SECTOR

On June 16, 2022, representatives of the economic sector of Turkmenistan and the Czech Republic held an online meeting.

During the meeting, the parties considered pressing issues on the agenda of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. In particular, potential cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy, the development of a bilateral legal base of the economic bloc and the strengthening ties between business circles and Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the two states were discussed.

Taking into account that the Roadmap for the development of international cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy is being implemented in Turkmenistan, and the Hydrogen Strategy - in the Czech Republic, the meeting participants expressed their readiness to consider relevant proposals for the exchange of experience and participation in activities in this direction.

Interest was also expressed in strengthening work on the following draft documents in the economic direction: Memorandum of understanding concerning cooperation in the area of counteraction to legalization of the proceeds from crime and terrorist financing, as well as the Agreement for the Mutual Promotion and Protection of Investments.
