During the first days of war, thousands of our fellow citizens volunteered to go to war and demonstrated resilience and valor in fierce fighting. Turkmen nationals were bestown the high title of Hero for their courage, while thousands of warriors were decorated with awards and medals, many of them posthumously. In the days of May sincere, cordial words of appreciation and congratulations go to our dear veterans and workers on the home front.

These days, in honor of glorious heroes who defended peace in the world and brought us closer to the Victory Day, all towns and villages of the country are hosting conferences and meetings, cultural campaigns and sporting events.

The historical memory serves to inspire development of wide international cooperation in the interest of the common good.
