Cooperation in the energy sector between Turkmenistan and the Republic of the Philippines was discussed

On 5 June 2025, a videoconference was held with representatives of the State concerns “Turkmengaz”, “Turkmennebit” and “Turkmenhimiya” with the Department of Energy of the Republic of the Philippines.

The meeting was chaired on behalf of the Philippines by Mr Michael Sinocruz, Director of the Energy Policy and Planning Bureau of the Department of Energy of the Republic of the Philippines. The meeting discussed the current state of the energy sector of the Republic of the Philippines, plans for future development and interests in enhancing international co-operation.

The Turkmen side presented detailed information on the state programmes for the development of hydrocarbon and chemical resources of our country, large-scale projects implemented in the energy and chemical sectors, as well as on the work carried out jointly with foreign partners.

The sides discussed possibilities of co-operation in areas of mutual interest. As a result of the meeting, the parties expressed interest in continuing these relations in the future and preparing joint proposals in relevant areas.
