Meeting of Hero-Arkadag with the Head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society

On April 9, 2026, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, during his visit to the Republic of Austria, held a meeting with the head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society Neda Berger.

Expressing her gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people for the time devoted to the meeting, Neda Berger noted that the current visit of Hero-Arkadag to the friendly country would represent an important step towards strengthening interstate relations and expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.

Thanking her for the kind words, Hero-Arkadag highlighted the significant contribution of Neda Berger, who has led the Turkmen-Austrian Society for many years, to the activation of comprehensive relations between the two countries.

The importance of the work carried out by the Turkmen-Austrian Society was emphasized, and it was noted that the agreements reached at its regularly held meetings open new horizons for mutually beneficial partnership in the trade, financial, and investment spheres.

Special attention was given to the role of the Turkmen-Austrian Symphony Orchestra “Galkynysh” which represents a unique creative ensemble. As Neda Berger underlined, this distinctive group, established at the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, serves as a symbolic bridge between the cultures of East and West.

In this context, the head of the Turkmen-Austrian Society expressed sincere gratitude to Hero-Arkadag for the special attention paid to the development of bilateral cultural and humanitarian dialogue.

Noting Neda Berger’s long-standing contribution to strengthening friendly relations between the two countries in her capacity as head of the Society, the National Leader emphasized the importance of cultural events carried out in cooperation with this organization.

In turn, Neda Berger highlighted the significance of the initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people aimed at enhancing interaction between Austria and Turkmenistan.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Hero-Arkadag and Neda Berger exchanged warm wishes and expressed firm confidence that cultural cooperation will continue to remain one of the priority areas in relations between Turkmenistan and Austria.
