TURKMENISTAN ELECTED VICE-PRESIDENT OF THE GENERAL CONFERENCE OF UNESCO

The 39th session of the General conference of the UNESCO started in the headquarters of the organization in Paris.

On October 30, 2017 at 202-nd session of the Executive Council of the organization, in accordance with the decision No. 202 EX/27 Part III, Turkmenistan was elected Vice-President of the General conference of the United Nations educational, scientific and cultural organization (UNESCO).

This was the recognition of the success of the active multi-vector foreign policy of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as an important and necessary condition for a radical inner transformation. The main areas are the reform and modernization of the spheres of culture, science and education as essential factors of socio-economic development and prosperity of the country.
