A MEMORANDUM ON ACADEMIC EXCHANGE OF STUDENTS SIGNED BETWEEN IUHD AND THE TOKYO UNIVERSITY OF FOREIGN STUDIES

On November 21, 2017, the International University for the Humanities and Development (IUHD) held a meeting with the President of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Hirotaka Tateishi and Vice-President Sukero Ito who arrived to Ashgabat as part of the Japanese delegation. This visit of Japanese colleagues to our country is aimed at further development of the bilateral partnership in higher education.

During the current meeting, a lecture course was conducted for students and teachers of the Turkmen higher educational institution from the Vice-President of the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies Sukero Ito, and an interesting conversation took place on the current aspects of bilateral cooperation.

During the visit of the Japanese delegation, a solemn ceremony of signing the Memorandum on the academic exchange of students between IUHD and the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies was held. The main purpose of the memorandum is to organize student exchanges and conduct relevant scientific research. Already in the forthcoming 2017-2018 academic year Turkmen students will have an opportunity to study at one of the best universities in Japan.

Both sides confirmed readiness for implementation of the signed Memorandum, which will promote the activation of Turkmen-Japanese cooperation.

As is known, the Global Japan Office successfully operates at the International University for the Humanities and Development. It is organized not only for students and teachers of this institution, but also for everyone who wants to learn the Japanese language, get acquainted with the history and culture of this country.

As part of the program of the visit to the IUHD, a thematic exhibition and a concert with the participation of the creative teams of the university were organized for the Japanese guests.
