Turkmen kick boxers successfully performed in the international tournaments
Successfully acting at prestigious international tournaments, our athletes in the beginning of year have secured national sports with medals of various coins.
Our national kickboxing team took part in the open championship of Finland which was held in Helsinki. For awards more than hundred sportsmen, including from Sweden, Lithuania, Estonia and other countries competed.
At that tournament our compatriots won 12 medals: five – gold, three "silver" and four "bronze".
In the kickboxing version «К-1» the team of Turkmenistan was represented by twelve athletes and all of them won a medal. Performances in the weight category under 60 kg among men were especially successful. Here the first place was secured by Pygy Silabov (silver prize-winner of the «Ashgabat -2017»), "silver" – by Yazberdi Payanov and a bronze award by Hudayguly Komekov.
In the scoring of our men's team - four more gold medals of this championship. Muhammet Gurbanov (75 kg) in the final beat a Finnish kick boxer confidently. A persistent struggle for the first place in the category under 71 kg Akmyrat Akyev could overcome his opponent from Estonia. Two highest awards were also won by Gadam Abdyev (67 kg) and Yusup Ahmetjanov (51 kg).
Charygylych Tagangylyjov (63,5 kg) and Aygozel Gurbangeldieva (52 kg) gained silver medals, having conceded in the efinal to hosts of the championship – kick boxers from Finland.
To the third step of the podium Azamat Jumakulyev (81 kg), silver prize-winner of the «Ashgbat-2017» Gulzada Jorakulyeva (70 kg) and Sayyara Bahramova (56 kg) who at the 5th Asian Games took a bronze medal, risen.
The same days in Krasnoyarsk (Russian Federation) the popular tournament in free-style wrestling «Ivan Yarygin's Grand Prix» where a bronze medal was secured by student of the National Institute of Sports and Tourism of Turkmenistan Dovletmyrat Orazglyjov in the weight category under 74 kg.
Having won his opponent from the USA with a score 13:0, in the quarterfinal our compatriot held the most complicated duel with the main favourite of tournament - Russian Hetik Tsabolov where he yielded to the future owner of the Gran-Prix.
In the competition for a bronze medal D.Orazglyjov an athlete from Mongolia resisted. When the duel score became 9:0 in our favour, the opponent stopped the bout.
