A meeting was held with the leaders of the Parliament of Japan

In commemoration of the “The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi” year, dedicated to honoring the renowned thinker and Eastern classic, Magtymguly Fragi, and marking the international celebration of his 300th birth anniversary, on 24 April 2024, a round table was held in the building of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan.

The event was held to strengthen bilateral political and diplomatic, parliamentary, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian relations between Turkmenistan and Japan.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of the Japan-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship Group, member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Japan Toshiaki Endo, Secretary General of the Japan-Turkmen Parliamentary Friendship Group, member of the House of Counsellors of the Parliament of Japan Shimpei Matsushita and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed important fields of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan.

Taking this opportunity, the leaders of the Japanese parliament were invited to take part in the International Forum of Heads of State and Government dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, which will be held on October 11 in Ashgabat.
