THE AMBASSADOR OF THE REPUBLIC OF CYPRUS PRESENTED COPIES OF HIS CREDENTIALS

On May 22, 2023, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan B.Myatiev met with the appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus to Turkmenistan Kypros Giorgallis (with residence in Moscow).

At the beginning of the meeting, the Ambassador presented copies of his credentials. B.Myatiev congratulated the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus on his appointment to a high diplomatic post and expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to support his activities.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on important issues of cooperation. The parties noted the relevance of maintaining a political dialogue at a high level. The role of the mechanism of consultations at the level of the foreign ministries of the two countries was emphasized.

The Deputy Minister stressed that inter-parliamentary cooperation plays an important role in developing political dialogue, deepening large-scale relations in trade, economic, scientific, educational and other fields.

The diplomats stated that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Cyprus interact positively within the framework of international and regional organizations, primarily in the UN.
