The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan met with the UN Secretary-General

On August 3, 2025, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan cordially welcomed the UN Secretary-General and expressed his delight at his visit to Turkmen land.

The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres noted that it was a great honor for him to participate in and host in Turkmenistan an international forum of great importance for all humanity.

Antonio Guterres expressed his gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan for the opportunity to hold the forum and the support provided by the Turkmen state.

At the international UN forum, which will be held on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, issues of current importance for the global economy will be discussed and ways to successfully implement existing tasks in this area will be identified.
