As part of the proclamation of 2024 as the year of “The Fount of the Mind of Magtymguly Fragi” in Turkmenistan, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan donated to the Japanese Language Institute of the Japan Foundation in Kansai, as well as to the Kumagaya Library of Saitama Prefecture, books translated into Japanese by His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty.

These works cover a wide range of genres and themes, as well as classic works of Turkmen literature. An important part of this initiative was the Japanese translation of poems by Magtymguly Fragi, an outstanding Turkmen poet and thinker who became a symbol of Turkmen literature and whose works continue to influence literature and art in Turkmenistan and beyond.

These books will allow a wide audience to better understand the depth and beauty of the heritage of the Turkmen people, opening new horizons and stimulating dialog.

These works will inspire readers and will be the beginning of long and fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan.
