Meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Emir of the State of Qatar

On 15 September 2025, in Doha, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, R.Meredov, was received by the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.

During the meeting, the Head of State of Qatar conveyed his greetings and deep respect to the Honourable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani expressed his deep gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the support provided by the leadership of Turkmenistan to his country and people during this difficult period.

He also emphasised the high level of fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples, and noted the good prospects for further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Qatar in a wide range of areas.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of cooperation between the two states in the international political arena within the framework of the United Nations, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and other authoritative international organisations.
