Roundtable discussion was held with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan and Japanese companies

On October 29, 2025, a roundtable discussion was held via video conference with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan, “Sumitomo Corporation” and “Toyota Central Asia” on the topic “Opportunities for cooperation with Japanese companies in the supply of automobile vehicles”.

During the roundtable discussion, the previously established cooperation between the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan and Sumitomo Corporation in the provision of taxis and other vehicles for public purposes was highlighted, and the importance of further strengthening these relations on a mutually beneficial basis was noted.

During the event, the participants exchanged views on the work carried out within the framework of the cooperation established between the Ministry of Motor Transport of Turkmenistan and Sumitomo Corporation and possible future projects.

At the conclusion of the roundtable meeting, representatives of Japanese companies were invited to actively participate in the International Conference and Exhibition “International transport corridors: connectivity and development-2025”, which is scheduled to be held in Ashgabat on November 26-27, 2025.
