Issues of preparation for the «Central Asia + Japan» Dialogue Summit were discussed in Japan

On July 23, 2024, a meeting was held in the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Yoko Kamikawa, and the Ambassadors of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan accredited in Tokyo.

The agenda of the meeting included the organizational matters of the first Summit of the Dialogue «Central Asia + Japan», which will be held in Astana in August 2024. Along with this, the parties discussed current issues of cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and Japan in the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres.

According to the general opinion of the meeting participants, the high-level Summit will give significant impetus to further enhance six-party cooperation.
