Meeting of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan with CEO of “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.”

On 2 November 2025, during his working visit to Balkan velayat, the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov, met with Mr. Eisaku Ito, CEO of Japanese company “Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.”.

“Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd.” in consortium with “GAP İnşaat” (Turkey), is going to lead the construction of a major urea production complex in Kiyanly, with an annual capacity of 1.155 million tons.

The meeting highlighted the long-standing, mutually beneficial partnership between Turkmenistan and Japan, especially in energy, petrochemicals, and industrial innovation.

The esteemed President of Turkmenistan emphasized Turkmenistan’s favorable business climate and the potential for expanding cooperation in new sectors.
