Toyota compared to its homeland Japan is considered more popular in Turkmenistan

In Turkmenistan 60-70 percent of the automobile market is occupied by “Toyota” automobiles. This indicator compared to their own homeland Japan is higher (in Japan less than 50 percent). About this at the ceremonial reception held by the Embassy of Japan in Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Emperor’s birthday, was noted.

According to the Embassy’s presentation information, in 2024 year 50 percent of Japanese goods exported to Turkmenistan fell to the share of automobiles.

“Toyota” automobiles are widely spread in Turkmenistan, their share makes up 60-70 percent of the total amount of automobiles. In Japan however the share of Toyota automobiles is less than 50 percent. Therefore, Toyota automobiles in Turkmenistan are encountered even more than in Japan” – it is noted in the Embassy’s report.
