Three bronze medals were won by Turkmen karate athletes at the 22nd Asian Junior Under-21 Championship in Manila

Turkmenistan was represented by 10 athletes, two coaches and three international judges at the tournament held in Manila from 22 to 25 August 2024.

Alymukhammet Kakaliev brought the country its first medal, winning bronze in the 57kg team event. He was also the winner of the Fujairah tournament and the Central Asian champion in May.

On the final day of the championships, Magtumguly Annaev (55kg) and David Nazmyradov (75kg) won bronze medals. Annaev defeated Salem Alaimi (Kuwait) and Nazmyradov defeated Luo Vo Anh Duyu (Vietnam). Both athletes also won at the 9th Central Asian Championships.

The tournament attracted 561 athletes from 30 countries.
