Delegation of Turkmenistan held a number of meetings on trade and textile sector

From August 30 to September 3, 2025, a Turkmen delegation headed by N.Agahanov, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan, were on a working visit to the Japanese cities of Osaka and Tokyo.

During the visit, the Turkmen delegation held a number of bilateral meetings with Japanese organizations and companies operating in trade and textile industries.

In Tokyo the delegation had a meeting with the Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation, member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of ITOCHU Corporation, President of the Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing Company H. Tsubai. N.Agakhanov also met with the President of the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) N.Ishiguro.

In Osaka, at Turkmenistan’s Pavilion at the EXPO 2025 World Exhibition, the Turkmen delegation held meetings with M. Ichinoki, Deputy Secretary-General of the EXPO 2025 Japan Association, as well as with the Commissioner of Saudi Arabia’s National Pavilion, the Director of Qatar’s National Pavilion, and representatives of the Masui Co. Ltd company.

Within the framework of the above-mentioned meetings, the parties discussed the opportunities of Japanese companies in Turkmenistan, the development of export-import relations and the promotion of initiatives to bring Turkmen textile products to the Japanese market.
