The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the second Ministerial Economic and Energy Dialogue in the format of “Central Asia + Japan”

On 16 September 2025, the second Ministerial Economic and Energy Dialogue in the format of “Central Asia + Japan” was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan.

The event was attended by the heads of relevant ministries of the fuel and energy sector of Central Asian countries via video link and in person.

During the event, issues related to strengthening cooperation in the field of energy within the framework of the Central Asia + Japan format, achieving carbon neutrality in the fuel and energy sector, sustainable economic development and the introduction of new technologies were discussed.

The participants of the meeting agreed to develop and support renewable energy projects with the aim of achieving carbon neutrality in the region, as well as to strengthen cooperation between the countries of the region and Japan in this area.
