Briefing dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan held in Tokyo

On January 24, 2020, a briefing dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan and to the announcement of the year 2020 as “Turkmenistan – Home of Neutrality” organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan was held in Tokyo.

The representatives of the Japanese mass media such as “Asahi shimbun,” “NHK,” “Kyodo news,” “Mainichi,” “Sumitomo global research” and “Japan-Eurasia Society” participated to the briefing.

During the event, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Japan informed the participants about the history and significance of the policy of neutrality of our country, its role in strengthening of international and regional stability, as well as the cooperation carried out jointly with the United Nations and its specialized agencies aimed at the provision of worldwide peace and development.

Also, the development of transport-logistics complex of our country by sustaining peace was mentioned during the briefing, including the relevant projects successfully implemented in our state and in the region.
