TURKMENISTAN ELECTED TO STRUCTURES UN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL COUNCIL

On April 21, 2020, during the work of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), elections were held to a number of Council structures. Turkmenistan was elected to two of its important bodies: the UN Commission on Social Development for the period 2021-2025 and the UN Commission on Science and Technology for Development for 2021-2024.

The election of Turkmenistan to two important bodies of the UN Economic and Social Council is another evidence of the growing authority of our country in the world, a clear confirmation of the correctness and validity of the course chosen by our country for international cooperation in solving urgent problems of the modern world, matching our policies with the interests of security, progress and sustainable development.
