VIDEOCONFERENCE ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF NEW STRATEGY AND ACTION PLAN ON NON-COMMUNICABLE DISEASES

On April 29, 2020, the videoconference was held in the UN Building in Ashgabat with the representatives of the WHO Regional Office for Europe on the issues pertaining to the development of New Strategy on non-communicable diseases in Turkmenistan for 2021-2030. The given session was organized by the WHO Country Office in Turkmenistan in assistance of the Turkmen side.

The representatives of the Ministry of Healthcare and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan and the WHO Regional Office for Europe participated to the online meeting.

The achievements of our country in the field of prevention and combatting non-communicable diseases were discussed during the web- discussions, as well as the exchange of views on joint actions in this direction for the coming future took place. The parties also specifically emphasized the need to provide equal access to the innovative technologies, pertinent medical and laboratory data on the national and interregional level.

As is known, the Working Group on the development of National Strategy and Action Plan on the prevention and combatting non-communicable diseases in Turkmenistan for 2021-2030 had been established.
