Grain harvest starts in Turkmenistan
Grain harvest campaign has started in Turkmenistan. Grain producers of Ahal, Lebap and Mary Velayats have started reaping of wheat and farmers of Balkan and Dashoguz Velayats to join them on June 12.
This year, Turkmen grain producers will have to produce 1,400,000 tons of grain including 400,000 tons in Ahal, 345,000 tons in Mary, 310,000 tons in Lebap, 265,000 tons in Dashoguz and 80,000 tons in Balkan Velayats from 690,000 hectares. The min part of the fields has been sown with high productive wheat species such as Sahrayi, Juvan, Bitarap, Yoloten 1, Yoloten – 3, Turkmenbashy – 1, Gyzylshaglavuk – 25, Miras, Akbash, Yubiliyebaya – 100, Bat’ko and Wassa.
In general, 2,220 units of Claas, John Deere, New Holland grain harvesters will be used in the country. Working in two shifts, this modern high productive equipment will help grain producers to collect produced yield quickly and without any loss.
Delivery of wheat to 156 reception facilities, barns and elevators will be provided by 11,000 trucks provided by different ministries and departments. By the beginning of the harvest, various laboratories have been prepared where specialists of the General State Service Türkmenstandartlary will inspect quality of grain.
Timely settlement of payments with grain producers for delivered product will be provided through local branches of the state Commercial Daýhanbank.
Production seminars with participation of representatives of Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Protection, velayat and etrap administrations, the General State Service Türkmenstandartlary, Türkmenhimiýa State Concern, heads of farming association, experienced agronomists, machine operators, grain producers, elders have been held on occasion of the start of the harvest. Wide range of issues of organized harvest was discussed during the events.
