Doing Business: Perspectives of the World Bank project for Turkmen entrepreneurs

Joining of Turkmenistan to the Doing Business project of the World Bank was the main subject of online talks held in the Ministry of Finances and Economy with participation of representatives of the State Bank of Foreign Economic Activity, Foreign Ministry and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs.
As of today, the above-mentioned project involves more than 180 countries. Its goal is to give impartial foundation for understanding and improvement of normative and regulatory base regulating entrepreneurship activity all over the world by gathering and analysis of comprehensive quantitative data for comparison of regulation conditions of these works between the countries and in the dynamics.
Considered foreign strategy aimed at integration of regional and global economic relations turn our country into the centre of attraction of business interest, investments and innovations, advanced technologies and progressive practice.
At the same time, strengthening of productive cooperation with largest international and regional financial organizations for the formation of favourable business climate for small and medium business is a priority in this aspect.
It was mentioned that today, using existing capabilities and conditions made by the Government, Turkmen entrepreneurs proves their competiveness on practice confirming undisputable fact that private business is one of the most efficient forms of business activity.
Noting productive character of cooperation with this competent organization in different directions including health protection, statistics, transport, banking and financial complexes, the participants of the meeting highlighted importance of proposed project.
The sides exchanged the views on perspectives of intensification of bilateral relations in the context of fundamental reforms in Turkmenistan, in particular for further development of non-governmental section of the economy.
