Specialists of Central Asia and Caucasia and IMF experts discuss post-pandemic development

Online meeting of financial specialists of Central Asia and Caucasia with IMF experts took place at the Ministry of Finance and Economy. The meeting agenda focused on private funding to support economic recovery after the pandemic.

As emphasized, the current crisis has had a negative impact on the development of the region and governments have adopted specific economic policy responses to protect vulnerable populations and industries. It was underlined the importance of maintaining the investment capacity of countries for priority spending.

Underlining the importance of reforms aimed at developing private sources of financing in support of economic recovery, the meeting participants called for further enhancement of cooperation.
