四段の堀越祐嗣氏トルクメン合気道学校の代表者向けに研修を実施

At the Olympic village complex of martial arts took place aikido exhibition performance hold by Japanese sensei, the bearer of VI dan Yuji Horikoshi.

The foreign mentor demonstrated during the colorful show not only skills of hand to hand fight but also weapons arts – bokken (special sword), jo (wooden stick) and tanto (knife). Sharpen and effective motions caused battery of applause at numerous audience. Amazing were quick reaction, plastic arts and beauty of performance. There was a feeling that a Japanese master involved an opponent in a ritual dance.

The main principles of aikido – how to disqualify an opponent very soft, applying minimum efforts and without harming him. In this martial art created in the 20 of the last century, the athlete aims the force of the opponent against himself. Morihey Uesiba – founder of the new style researched many Japanese single fights and concluded that neutralizing the opponent’s aggression you may reach peace and harmony.

This is exactly what I try to get across in my classes – says Yuji Horikoshi. Nowadays aikido develops about in 130 countries as well as in Turkmenistan. I am sure, that our friendly relationships and athletics experience exchange will continue in the future.

The Japanese master representing worldwide organization Aikido Aikikai is visiting Ashgabat for the second time. First visit took place last year. Y.Horikoshi said he is pleasantly surprised the Turkmen capital changed within one year. Sensei visiting with seminars 30 countries designated Ashgabat Olympic village as one of the best sports infrastructure in the world.

The present visit was not limited to exhibition performances. Yuji Horikoshi did some trainings. Among the Turkmen masters of aikido is the coach of the capital complex sports school Shamukhammed Bailyev, the owner of the third dan Aikikai. His sons followed in his foodsteps - Perhat and Rahat Bailyevs, the bearers of black belts of II and I dan. It should be pointed out Allaberdy Hojamgulyev (II Dan), Andrey Galimyanov (I dan) and other talented athletes.

Yearly, in different countries of the world are organized international seminars, where the masters of martial arts perform and give classes. The Turkmen also regularly participate at the trainings. Next year the representatives of national aikido school plan to visit three seminars – in July Germany and in August Switzerland and Great Britain.
