New greenhouse complex will specialize in growing seedlings for landscape gardening in the Akhal Velayat

In Ak Bugday etrap, a greenhouse complex for growing seedlings of ornamental trees and flowers with an area of 10 hectares was put into operation. Representatives of velayat and etrap khyakimliks, labor collectives, public organizations, honorary elders took part in the solemn ceremony of its opening. The festive atmosphere was multiplied by musical compositions performed by creative ensembles. The most distinguished builders were awarded valuable gifts.

The object was erected in accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "On the construction of greenhouse for growing seedlings of ornamental trees and flowers", becoming part of the implementation of the program for the production of import-substituting products, including plants that beautify the appearance of our cities, settlements and favorably affecting the environment.

The complex was constructed by the specialists of the private enterprise "Dört paslyň berekedi", commissioned by the State Committee on Environment Protection and Land Resources. Installed here advanced equipment will allow year-round and in any weather to grow exotic plants. The new building has become another demonstration of how domestic small and medium-sized enterprises are gradually occupying the niche of the greenhouse business that is being exempt from the import, modernizing its activities taking into account the latest trends in the world agro-industrial market.

Currently, there are more than fifty parks and squares in Ashgabat alone, where over 120 plant species grow. The new farm should assume functions both for their landscaping, and for growing seedlings that enrich the flora of the capital and other cities of the country.

Deciduous and coniferous tree species, perennial and seasonal flowers, including those introduced in Turkmenistan will be planted in the greenhouse. In the feasibility study of the enterprise it is stated that the greenhouse will allow to grow more than half a million plants a year, ensuring full import substitution of decorative products in the country, and in the future - to supply local valuable species abroad.

On the territory of the facility, a production workshop has been erected, where equipment is installed capable of producing 120 pots per hour for seedlings of trees and flowers, as well as a laboratory, a warehouse for storing finished products.

A year-round hothouse economy will provide employment for hundreds of local residents, which is yet another indication of the successful implementation of the ongoing reforms in the country.
