On May 17, 2022, a telephone talk took place between the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
Expressing satisfaction with the opportunity to discuss topical issues of interstate relations in a personal conversation, the head of Turkmenistan, taking the opportunity, congratulated the leader of the friendly country on his birthday, wishing him good health, personal happiness and well-being, as well as new successes and achievements in responsible state activities for the benefit of the brotherly Kazakh people.
Having noted with satisfaction the achieved high level of the established productive Turkmen-Kazakh partnership, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov especially noted the personal attention paid by the head of Kazakhstan to the development of strategic and good neighborly relations between our countries.
The interlocutors stated with satisfaction that our countries are currently successfully cooperating in all major areas. There is an active political dialogue between friendly neighboring states, including interaction between ministries and departments. Turkmen-Kazakh trade-economic relations are dynamically developing, cooperation in the cultural-humanitarian field is successfully expanding and strengthening, and inter-parliamentary contacts are being activated.
Confirming the mutual focus of the parties on further intensification of a productive interstate dialogue, the heads of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan expressed confidence that, thanks to joint efforts, the relations of constructive partnership, traditional friendship and good neighborliness, which have been linking our peoples from time immemorial, will continue to steadily develop and strengthen in the interests of the two countries.
