It is signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Institute of Education and Cambridge University

Specialists of the Ministry of Education, the International University for the Humanities and Development and the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after D. Azadi took part in the annual World Education Forum "London-2018". 

Representatives of nearly one hundred countries participated in the conference, whose work was organized in the format of sectional sessions. It was discussed such topics as the mutual influence of the economy and education, a systematic approach to learning, competence development, innovative technological breakthrough, principles of quality assurance in the era of rapid transformation, primary education and development of children. Visualization to the thematic spectrum of the meeting was an exhibition, where participants exchanged views on the aspects of innovative education in modern conditions. 

The exhibition introduced the full collection of educational materials, computer programs in all subject areas, interactive technologies, innovation equipment on simultaneously translation etc. 

It was conducted bilateral meetings on the second day of the Forum. As a result it was signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan and the Cambridge University units: "Cambridge English Language Assessment" and "Cambridge University Press" (Publishing House). The agreement is aimed at joint participation in various training projects, improving the methods of teaching English, improving the skills of teachers, etc. 

The cooperation of Cambridge with the National Institute of Education presupposes, first, the improvement of the quality of English teaching; assistance in developing training programs that meet international standards; provision of educational and methodological materials; Assignment of international certificates of the University of Cambridge for success in studying and teaching English. 

It is planned to implement a pilot project based on a number of schools in our country, approbation of the Cambridge University Press teaching materials in English adapted to the specifics of the national education system. Among the planned joint activities are targeted testing of pupils and teachers of the English language of schools participating in the project; the development and implementation of an advanced training program for teachers and other areas of interaction. 

The Memorandum reflects the prospects for partnership with the International University for the Humanities and Development. In the near future IUHD will visit a delegation from Cambridge University to discuss key areas of cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the national Concept of improving the teaching of foreign languages. 

The partnership with the Cambridge University and its structural units is planning to activate the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Azadi. The parties intend to enter a new level of cooperation and establish a direct dialogue, including the improving of the teacher’s professional qualification.
