BICYCLE RIDE TOOK PLACE IN TOKYO TO CELEBRATE THE WORLD BICYCLE DAY

On the occasion of World Bicycle Day, a mass bike ride organised by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan was held in Yoyogi Park in center of Tokyo.

The sporting event was attended by Embassy and Tokyo bicycle Centre representatives and Turkmen students studying in Japan.

At the start of the cultural and sporting event, the importance of the Resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly on the initiative of Turkmenistan to declare 3 June as World Bike Day was stressed. Established into the world calendar on the basis of a UN General Assembly resolution and at the initiative of Turkmenistan, this day is a celebration of sport as an ambassador of peace and friendship and a healthy way of life at an international level.

The bike ride continued in Yoyogi Park and during the ride, 5 km were covered.

This event, hosted by the Embassy, served as a rallying point for active sporting activities among diplomats and Turkmen students, promoting sports and a healthy lifestyle for Arkadagly Serdar and the Hero Arkadag.
