Mawy Kenar Joint Venture, which is specialized in soil remediation for oil pollution, works on Turkmen coast of Caspian Sea in the area of Hazar. Joint venture was established by companies Gazyk, Hazar balyk and Canadian Benel Technical Services.

At the exhibition of achievements of private sector in Ashgabat on March 17 - 18, Mawy Kenar Joint Venture, the member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, presented innovative project in ecological and oil and gas spheres, which is on high demand in the country and in foreign market.

High technology production base with equipment, which was developed specially for this project, has been opened on the peninsula. Such companies as German DBRgaz armaturen GmbH, Finnish Steamrator and Russian NewGreenTechnology are suppliers of the facility.

Specialists of the JV have entered into 15-year contract with the State concern Türkmennebit for clean-up of land in Balkan Velayat. The main purpose of the contract is to clean the sand in the places where oil has been discovered in the process of drilling activity or independent seeping of oil to the surface and extraction of this oil for further processing has occurred.

The company uses one of the most effective method of cleaning of soil from oil products – the ultrasound. Cavitation bubbles, which appears in the process of sound pressure, explode and make shock waves, which destroy particles of oil and separate them from the surface.

The efficiency of clean-up using innovative technology is able to reach 99.5 – 99.8 percent. Rehabilitation of polluted land will allow using it for cultivation of agricultural crops or for other purposes within next few years.
