The event was attended by representatives of Japanese companies, specialists from relevant agencies of Turkmenistan, as well as experts in the field of ecology.

The main report at the meeting was delivered by Honorary Professor of Kumamoto University, Koji Arizono. During the discussions, Turkmenistan’s state policy in the field of waste management, as well as opportunities for introducing advanced Japanese technologies into the country’s production system, were considered.

The event was organized within the framework of the implementation of agreements reached in December 2025 during the visit of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan to Japan, regarding expressed interest in deepening bilateral cooperation in the field of waste management.

Following the results of the “roundtable” meeting, the parties identified priority areas for further cooperation between the two countries.
