Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A. Bayramov met with Taro Kono, Director-General of the International Bureau of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan

On March 25, 2026, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A. Bayramov met with Taro Kono, Director-General of the International Bureau of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan.

During the meeting, Ambassador A. Bayramov expressed gratitude for the work done to develop Turkmen-Japanese relations.

At the meeting, the parties discussed various areas of bilateral cooperation, including developing relations between the political parties of the two countries, particularly establishing direct ties between the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation (DX), cooperation through youth diplomacy and global leadership programs, promoting cooperation in economic and trade policy, scientific and innovative cooperation, and cooperation in green technologies.

T.Kono previously served as the Minister of Defense, Foreign Affairs, and Digital Transformation of Japan.
