The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan participated in the 32nd Meeting of the Asian Small Group of Japan
The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Japan A. Bayramov took part in the 32nd meeting of the Asian Small Group of Japan held in Tokyo on 28 August 2024. The event was attended by members of the Japanese government, parliament and accredited foreign ambassadors.
During the event, Ambassador A. Bayramov made a speech in which he paid special attention to the policy of Permanent Neutrality and issues of peace and confidence building. He stressed the country's commitment to the policy of Permanent Neutrality based on good-neighbourliness and equal cooperation. The Ambassador also drew attention to the adoption on 21 March 2024 in New York of the UN General Assembly resolution entitled “2025 - International Year of Peace and Trust”, which was initiated by the Government of Turkmenistan and supported by 86 countries of the world. The resolution is aimed at promoting international peace and trust, as well as promoting sustainable development and harmonious coexistence among states.
At the end of his speech, the diplomat thanked Japan for its support and contribution to the development of friendly relations between the two countries and to the strengthening of ties between Central Asia and Japan. The event provided an important platform for exchanging views and strengthening diplomatic relations.
