Student from a Turkmen university completed an internship in Japan as part of the MIRAI program
H. Myratgeldiyeva, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Law of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, participated in a short-term internship on the topic of "Rule of Law" as part of the Japanese educational initiative "Mutual Understanding, Intellectual Relations and Academic Exchange Initiative" (MIRAI).
The short-term training also included law students, master's students, postgraduates and young legal professionals from countries such as Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia.
During the program, participants attended general lectures on topics such as "Japan's Foreign Policy Towards Central Asia and the Caucasus," "The Rule of Law in the International Community," "Overview of Japan's Administrative Judicial System," "Law and the Justice System," "Legal Education in Japan," and "Achieving Legal Uniqueness Through Legal Cooperation." The sessions were conducted by highly qualified specialists in these fields.
The program aimed to familiarize participants with Japan's legal and educational systems, as well as its culture, art, national traditions and historical landmarks.
The MIRAI project is a short-term youth exchange scheme designed to promote international cooperation, cultural enrichment and mutual understanding among young professionals and students from Central Asia and the Caucasus. The program includes educational components, cultural experiences and networking opportunities. Participants attend lectures, seminars, and other events to gain insights into the legal system, culture and history of the host country.
